a {sweet}

You know I have never been the kind of girl who is into fairy tales and princesses... The Royal Wedding (my apologies Harry and... uhm..I want to say Camille, but I am sure that isn't right... what IS her name?... anyway, my point is to apologize, I mean no disrespect)...BUT, I honestly could give two shakes about the Royal Wedding... is that bad? Un-American? I am sure some of you might feel the same way... ;) In saying I don't give two shakes, please know that it doesn't mean that I won't at least check out highlights and previews..... and enjoy a bit of history in the making...

Unlike myself, my {sweet} friend, Nicole is the EXACT opposite...! We chatted for a bit last night, and last I heard she was making muffins for a 3AM viewing party! (Hope you had fun, girl!) A few days ago, Nicole came up with the idea of having a royally inspired shoot... Using the adorable free printables from the TomKat Studio, and supplemented with a few designs from yours truly, Nicole designed an adorable tablescape fit for her princess and my prince.

If you are thinking about having a little royal fun yourself, please feel free to click the image below to download my contribution in PDF format...

And, if you are here just for the pictures (like me!), well then here we go...

They say you have to kiss a lot of frogs to find your prince charming...

I love this addition to the tablescape, its so fitting! I am totally going to have this one printed and frame it for my daughter's nightstand.

I only have a small peek of our royal table...
Super cute cupcake toppers, right?? (Don't forget to click over to the TomKat Studio to grab yours... don't say I didn't warn you, almost eeevvveerrryyything there is super TO DIE FOR... )

This shoot is what 'Ella B is about... what I am about... It all starts with an idea.  I love brainstorming.  Special thanks to Nicole for having me out again, I always love working with you.

Happy weekend!

featuring...

I am so excited to feature Stella B on the blog today! Her work is seriously DROOL worthy... I got mail from her and was just super wanting to take that picture NOW because I knew how cute it would be.  I am so in love with this little sock monkey hat that if I could fit my fat head into it, I would try to rock it.  Uhm, yea, cause that is just how I roll!

Ok- you still with me? Is it not just the cutest?? Its so much better on....

wait for it... wait for it...

Yea! That's what I am taking about!

I think my model, little Ms. K agrees... this is a winning combo! Perfect pair in the sock monkey hat from Stella B.  and super full and fun pink on pink tutu from Sweet Things Kids (you remember her... she's got a HUGE spring fashion show coming up! That's a whole other post, though!)

Special thanks to my model and her parents! Your cooperation and little Miss made my day! <3

meet the

Wow, what a beautiful fun family... Meet the {H} Family! One MORE awesome thing about doing what I do is the people I get to meet.  Amy is such a cool, fun, energetic mama to an adorable little Ms. K.  Daddy, Mike was the calm to the storm, or at least it seemed! Great dynamic between the family, and I was honored to catch a few fun moments with them in beautiful down town Riverside.

Love this shot of them.... They were very easy and natural to work with.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this beautiful painted wall... Ms. K strutting her stuff in her Sweet Things tutu!

There are so many beautiful hidden areas in Riverside... And when I say hidden I don't mean remotely.  This is the door that you might drive by every day and never see...

I am IN LOVE with a recent freebie action {Baby Max} provided from the lovelies over at Pure Photoshop Actions

Mama A was rocking these killer platforms, so we had to show them off...
And to seal the deal, Ms. K.  Man, she's CU-UTE!!

Amy, Mike & K., thank you so much for sharing part of your day with me! I had a great time, and I hope to see your family again, soon!

I am so excited to announce that I now have a dedicated indoor space for new babies… Yay! No more worrying about the weather when its time to take those first photographs.

Meet Baby M.  Her mama has wanted to shoot with me for what seems like at least a year now, but somehow the stars never aligned… But when Baby M. was born, two weeks early, we knew we had to make it happen.
Did you know that I have been trying to get this pose right on every new baby I have done recently? I know if can be done, I have searched the web and watched countless how to tutorials…

But, alas, it eludes me… Even so, this is a pretty freaking adorable try…

She appears to be mocking me.  I swear, if I had a baby to practice this on all the time, I totally would.  I will get it someday, and when I do… be prepared.  Maybe it will be with your baby?

This little one was so expressive when she was sleeping, I swear she must have been listening to me all the time.  I am so happy that I was able to get some precious sleeping smiles.

Something a little different, I love baby feet….

And last but not least, the cute one eyed sleeping baby lovey.  Do you like my super sweet headbands? Got these from Sweet Things Kids… They are so vintage inspired and beautiful! Check out all the awesome goods at the shop, and if you see something you like, tell ‘em Ella B sent you.

Can’t wait to meet your bundle of joy… Contact me anytime for my new baby special.

Mini session with a super cute Boo...

So that's her nickname, Boo.  Maybe it was from the movie Monsters, Inc.? Hmm, should have asked.  It would be kind of funny if it were, because as soon as I saw this little cutie, I remembered my own little girl at her age- and when that movie came out, I thought she reminded me of the little girl, Boo, in the movie.

Little Ms. C's birthday is this Tuesday, and this cloth diapered cutie was already on the move.  Here are a few of my favorites of our session.

A super tutu event...

Have you met my friend, Nicole Troccoli, from Sweet Things Kids? She is the creator & designer of all things tutu and pretty! I met her when she hired me for a football tutu themed photoshoot for her two little girls... I decided to start working with her, one  because I adore her, and two because her products are literally the best I have seen!! We have been talking for a while about doing a tutu photoshoot/play day for her products... These are just a few of my favorites of the day, but all of her designs can be seen in her Etsy shop. Stop by and say hi- I promise, she's fab to work with, and you will be nothing but happy with your purchase!
My favorite twin models... So cute! I keep asking the mom to take one of these littles home, but so far its a no go.  Aren't they adorable in their Christmas tutu & tie?
Little angel, Ms. M.  She's just a sweet girl.
She's 3... and got the coture posing down flat! I love working with her.

Nicole's little witch... ready to cast a spell on you.

I took over 400 pictures of these tutu'd cuties... These were just a few that I really loved, and had to share... Thanks for stopping by, and for more 'Ella B, check my work out on Facebook!

The bad blogger strikes again....

Really, I try. I know from the looks of this sadly tended blog it doesn't appear as such... but if thoughts were actions that counted, I would have the most awesome blog of all.

So many things are going on in life- The biggest of all is that all of my kids are in school now. They started 4 weeks ago, but I am still missing them every day, and still trying to adjust to being a stay at home mom with no kids to take care of. I toy with the idea of getting a "real" job, where I would have to paste on the business suit and smile... but I haven't convinced myself that its a bridge worth crossing... not yet.

I got a puppy, just a few days before the kids started school. He's a great little pooch, and I think I am using him as a substitute kid these days... I depend on him to bother me while I am trying to go potty, or talk on the phone... Its like my brain doesn't function the way its supposed to without some outside distraction.

When we first got our puppy, he was the cutest, tiniest little thing. All full of fur and fluff. I am not generally the girl who gets giddy with cute fluffy type things, but... Uhm, yea. I went a little crazy with the camera in the first few days.

I have been working, here and there, but September is generally a slower month for me. I miss shooting as much as I usually do, but I know that I should enjoy the break, because October, November & December are gearing up to be very busy months. Yay! Bring it on...

I was asked to be the exclusive blog photographer and designer for a really awesome blog, called the Savvy Moms Guide. Its a really great resource for moms!

I am also working with Nicole of Sweet Things Kids, she makes awesome tutus and costumes.

Off to edit, just thought it was about time to check in.
