I am so excited to announce that I now have a dedicated indoor space for new babies… Yay! No more worrying about the weather when its time to take those first photographs.

Meet Baby M.  Her mama has wanted to shoot with me for what seems like at least a year now, but somehow the stars never aligned… But when Baby M. was born, two weeks early, we knew we had to make it happen.
Did you know that I have been trying to get this pose right on every new baby I have done recently? I know if can be done, I have searched the web and watched countless how to tutorials…

But, alas, it eludes me… Even so, this is a pretty freaking adorable try…

She appears to be mocking me.  I swear, if I had a baby to practice this on all the time, I totally would.  I will get it someday, and when I do… be prepared.  Maybe it will be with your baby?

This little one was so expressive when she was sleeping, I swear she must have been listening to me all the time.  I am so happy that I was able to get some precious sleeping smiles.

Something a little different, I love baby feet….

And last but not least, the cute one eyed sleeping baby lovey.  Do you like my super sweet headbands? Got these from Sweet Things Kids… They are so vintage inspired and beautiful! Check out all the awesome goods at the shop, and if you see something you like, tell ‘em Ella B sent you.

Can’t wait to meet your bundle of joy… Contact me anytime for my new baby special.

So this year, I wanted to do a 365 day project, and am so glad that I know myself well enough to just say no.  I finally caught up today, so thought I would write a quick blog post about my last 4 weeks of images…

The group is 52 weeks of love, one picture a week for the year, of things that you love.  The first four themes were up to me, but next week another member of the group will do the picking.

First theme of the week was Purple.  A seemingly simple theme, I mean I love purple, how hard could that be? Well, I don’t really have a lot of things that are purple that I love… so, I incorporated my puppy, Cooper with his purple toy.

Second theme of the week was On the Shelf… what in the heck? Yea, I picked it.  I was stumped, I mean, I wanted a challenge, but I needed a super cool picture… I love to read, I could read a book in a day if I didn’t have three kids… but I still read whenever I can.  I love, love, LOVE the book “East of Eden” by John Steinbeck.  It’s a beautifully written book set in Salinas Valley.  When I read that book, the words are like butter that melt in my mouth…. and like Pringles, I can’t eat just one.  So, here, on the shelf home is my favorite novel.

Third theme of the week was Self… I wanted to get more tattoo and less face, but… hmm… yea, self isn’t my super strong point.  That’s ok I guess.

And lastly, this is my Texture.  This is part of an old lamp that I have.  I absolutely love the lamp, the memory of how I got it and where I was, and who I was with.

Next weeks themes are all Valentine based, and I want to get outside the box with them… so I hope that it’s a can do for me!

Until next time,

So there is this girl I know.  She’s really cool.  She’s got a really rad style, beautiful eyes, awesome kids, a really amazing sense of self.  She has an open heart, an amazing spirit, and an unbelievably wonderful soul.  Maybe I want to be her when I grow up… ha ha.  I know, I am already grown, but really… you might want to be her too if you met her.
Anne-Michelle of Addison Park Photography, and I have been friends for a little over 5 years now.  We met through a pregnancy forum when we were both pregnant,  When I met her online, I already knew that I would like her… The first time I met her in person was at a mommy meet up group.  We just clicked… Ever since then, even though our lives and their busyness keeps us apart, I know she’s always just a phone call away.  And, no matter how much physical time we spend apart, the minute we are together, its just like its supposed to be….like no time has passed at all, and we can pick up just where we left off.
Do you have friends like that? I have a handful of friends like that… And I love and cherish each very much.  As I get older, I sometimes realize how lucky I am in the friends department.  Without my friends my life would be a lot less fulfilling….
After talking about it for-EVAH, we finally made it happen! Yesterday, we went to downtown Riverside and had some fun with our cameras.  Have fun with these images, and for more great pictures, please see my portfolio, @ ‘Ella B Photography.
